Description
Hiking from the trailhead off US-119, this trail follows a wide gravel path into the forest. Just over a half mile into the hike is a side route that explores the entrance of a historical coal mine area. From there, the hike returns to the main path that winds through the forest. The Forks of Coal State Natural Area is a network of trails, many unmarked. Be sure to maintain awareness of your surroundings to stay on track!
