Description
The Moose Creek Trail begins near the !Wickersham Creek Trail Shelter at mile 11.2 on the Wickersham Creek Trail. The Moose Creek Trail begins through spruce forests before crossing Wickersham Creek. Afterwards, the trail parallels the south side of the Moose Creek drainage and then travels through wooded areas and open meadows. In the forested areas, the trail is visible and marked, unless storms and wind have drifted snow across the route. The trail eventually enters a large, open burn area and crosses a small, narrow tributary that feeds Moose Creek. From here, the route goes over a small hill where it enters spruce forests for another few miles. The trail then climbs for a bit before breaking out into another large, open meadow and connecting with the Trail Creek Trail. The Moose Creek Cabin is near the Moose Creek Trail junction, at the eastern end of the meadow.
