Codfish Creek Discovery Trail

This is an easy trail in an Auburn Recreation Area that begins at Ponderosa Bridge then follows the beautiful scenery of the North Fork American River. The trail then cuts away from the river to follow alongside Codfish Creek which takes visitors to the end of the trail. It's worth working your way all the way to the end of this trail, as the end brings a beautiful surprise, Codfish Falls. The falls are a great place to take a break before heading back along the same route to the trailhead. At the falls, there is access to fishing (check regs) and swimming.
