The trail starts by making a clockwise loop around an old 1940s reservoir (now dry). The trail heads north ascending low grades. there are several trail junctions that lead off to the east and west. At about 2.1 miles Lake View Trail junctions off to the west. At 2.6 miles the trail ends and becomes Lake View Trail.
Parking fees are $3 per car daily and park hours are 7 am to sunset.
This is a multi-use trail so know the right-of-way rules and be aware of other users.
