From the front of the chalet, turn left by the well top directly across from the conference room windows, pass the connecting trail to C1, pass the intersection with B2 ,and cross Robin's Route. The trail becomes narrow and twists around the trunks of spruce, climbing up until leveling off at a small bog by Games Trail.
Cross Games Trail, enter a small patch of woods briefly and then climb to enter a wide open previously burnt area. The trail passes a large erratic boulder which marks the intersection with A2 before plunging into the ravine. Fortunately, there is a rope to assist with the descent and the ascent on the other side.
The trail joins Gosling View and at this point there are two options: continue around B1 Loop to cross Gosling View farther along before accessing the knoll on the other side, or cross Gosling View directly and go straight up to the top of the knoll via B1 connector.
When hiking the trail in the summer, keep in mind that there is no bridge across Birch Brook in the ravine, but it's usually not too hard to get across.
