Description
From the Koomer Ridge Trailhead, hike back out to the main campground road and find the singletrack between the two forks. Take this until it crosses the left fork, passes through a camping area, and finally leaves the campground for open forest. The trail follows a broad ridge through woods for a long way. After passing the Buck Trail intersection, the character changes and the ridge becomes more narrow. Eventually, you begin losing elevation and quickly test your quads as you descend Cuss Joe Hill. Koomer Ridge Trail ends at the intersection with Rough Trail at !Chimney Top Creek. Hike in reverse from Rough Trail #221 - Chimney Top Creek to KY 715 the long grueling climb back to the ridge is an area testpiece.
