Description
Find a place to park in the small enclave of Potato Patch, high in the Bradshaw Mountains of central Arizona. Begin the hike by following trail 285 southeast. The trail goes uphill and often follows a seasonal creek. After about 1.2 miles turn right (southwesterly) onto trail 284. This trail is also known as the Yankee Doodle Trail. Follow this trail to the summit of Mount Union, 7,979 feet. The summit has several antenna towers and a fire lookout making it easy to locate. Enjoy the views!Return the way you came.
