Loop
There's parking available in the vicinity of Stafford Rd and Craig's Corner Rd. From the parking area, the Deer Creek Trail picks up on the right side of Stafford Rd just past the bridge, but don't go over the bridge. The trail steadily rises for about the first mile and a half before leveling off and descending to the Deer Creek Picnic area where the trail meets the North Susquehanna Ridge Trail. The first mile of the Susquehanna Ridge Trail again ascends until it sharply descends down to a creek crossing at about mile 3.5. Once across the creek, make a left at the road and follow that to Rock Run Road, Stafford Rd and Rock Run Mill. At the intersection of Stafford Road is another bathroom, and historic Rock Run Mill, along with views of the Susquehanna River. The last mile and a half is mostly flat road.
There are remains of the rail system that was used to supply the construction of the Conewingo Dam. These can be found running parallel to the Susquehanna River.
