Thank You from the Offroad Team

Dear Offroad Community,

You are a part of building something big. The onX Offroad App is built by off-roaders for off-roaders. We SXS, dirt bike, overland, rock crawl, and rip around with our friends and family, but none of this would exist without you and our awesome Offroad community. You follow us on social, tell your friends about cool trails you find, and give us feedback on your favorite features and what you’d like to see in the future.

For all of that, and so much more, we want to say THANK YOU.

Celebrating One Year

Almost a year ago we launched onX Offroad to respond to a growing need for quality off-road trail navigation. We started with a team of two in Montana and now have an ever-growing team of professionals across the country who are helping build the most trusted off-road App on the market.

Over the past year we…

  • Added more than 425K miles of off-road trails across the U.S. and Baja
  • Made it easier to find nearby trails with the Discover feature
  • Started the Trail Guide program
  • Launched our Land Stewardship initiative, encouraging our team and members to take care of the trails we love
  • Were the official mapping sponsors of The Mint 400 races, UTV World Championship races, and the Moab4x4 runs
  • Grew our Instagram community to more than 22K and counting — thanks to YOU
  • Added 3D Beta maps (Have you explored these yet? Wow. On the main screen of your App, tap 3D Beta and start exploring.)

We Work Hard, Play Hard

The best way to build an off-roading app is to, well…go off-roading! Our team has embarked on many adventures this year and we wanted to share some of our favorite memories with you.

In February, Ted Livingston (Head of Product Marketing) and Jake Rosaia (Growth Marketing Specialist) raced moto in the infamous Mint 400 Race and crushed it.

Jenny Sheets (Copywriter and Campaign Manager) bought her first dirt bike, a Honda XR 100, and zipped around Montana’s trails.

Aaron Ricchio (Creative Lead) moved from New York to Montana and climbed some mountains.

Chris Cordes (Trail Guide Manager) toured his 7.3L Turbo-diesel Excursion, converted to a camper, around the country and even had time for a few long bikepacking trips.

Lisa Hahn (Community Specialist) and her husband got lost on the wide open roads of the West as often as possible. (Like, literally lost.)

Eric Evans (Senior Product Manager) rallied his SxS and made the move from Texas to Montana.

Rory Edwards (General Manager) spent every weekend off-roading with family in their SxS, Jeep® Wrangler JK, dirt bikes, or snowmobiles.

Where did YOU go? We want to see your adventures too! Make sure to post your pictures and tag us on Instagram.

Thank You

It has been a busy year, but we are just getting started. We hope you’re enjoying your Thanksgiving holiday in the most relaxing way possible, whether that’s eating way too much turkey, watching football, or ripping a SxS in the desert. Wherever you are, and whatever you’re doing, thank you for being a part of the Offroad community. Happy Thanksgiving!
