In December of 2017, Heartland Bowhunter’s Mike Hunsucker and Shawn Luchtel first put eyes on Hook, a Missouri buck that would keep them busy for the next two years. Watch the film below—this isn’t your average deer, and this isn’t your typical story.

The thing about mature bucks is that they don’t get that way unless they’re careful. When Michael and Shawn first spotted Hook in late 2017, he was surprisingly visible for a deer of his size.
