Carvers Gap to Grassy Ridge Bald

Enjoy breathtaking views all around you as you hike to three different balds. Starting from Carver's Gap, you'll enjoy an easy hike on gravel to your first bald, Round Bald. The hike to Round Bald is very heavily trafficked. After Round Bald, the gravel ends, and the trail begins to become more rugged on your way to Jane Bald. On your way, look for wild berry bushes along the side of the trail. Once you have past Jane Bald, you'll come to a Y in the trail where you'll bear right to head to the Grassy Ridge Bald. Grassy Ridge is the highest of the three balds at 6,165 ft. From here you have 360-degree views of the surrounding hills of Tennessee and North Carolina.
