Sunset Trail Loop

This loop connects portions of the Long X, Sunset and Maah Daah Hey Trails in a scenic 2.1 mile loop out of the CCC Campground. The trail is displayed at map at the trailhead but trail signs are not currently posted at the Sunset/Long X and Sunset/Maah Dah Hey intersections so be careful to stay on the right route. There is a second trailhead off the south side of the campground, which is another good starting/end point.The Long X portion of this parallels the Little Missouri River and the North Unit of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park.
