Watermelon Pond WEA Loop

From the parking area, the trail heads west to quickly reach a junction with the Fox Squirrel Trail. At this point the hike embarks on a set of two loops organized into a "figure 8". Starting on the Fox Squirrel Trail, the scenery takes on a mixture of dense pockets of loblolly pine and open swaths of grassland. Upon reaching the junction with the Blue Heron Loop, expect similarly beautiful scenery to the first loop!
