Gore Creek Day Hike

From the popular parking on the side of the road, start up the trail and take the right fork in a few hundred yards (the left goes to Deluge Lake). There are a couple steep sections, but you quickly get next to the creek, which is quite beautiful hereAt 1.8 miles in, there are some really nice places on the creek to enjoy a picnic or soak your feet, and it's a good turning point. After that, the trail departs the creek for a while (though the alpine scenery and flowers are better higher).
