Palm Lake Loop

Leaving the visitor center, you'll walk down the trail to a large sign. The Palm Lake Loop is to the left and is well-signed. Large cottonwood trees and palm trees surround this area, and a wide path will let you casually stroll around the lake. There are several areas with benches to stop and look for wildlife, and near the beginning and end of this loop trail, hikers can enjoy a small picnic area located beneath lofty cottonwoods.
