Crystal Forest Trail

The trail starts at the parking lot and heads to a fork where visitors may choose which direction they'd like to go, although going right will provide you with a quicker encounter with the crystalized wood. The rolling trail takes visitors up close to the petrified wood of varying sizes and is perfect for all abilities. The best times to visit would be early morning or late afternoon as the sun provides photographers with excellent shots of the wood as well as beautiful shots of the surrounding landscape. Also, these times of day provide milder temperatures making the trip much more enjoyable.
